Sandalwood Essence starts with something fresh and a little sharp, violet leaf and dry cedar, before it softens into warmer, earthier territory. There's a hint of spice in there too, and patchouli that adds real depth without tipping into anything heavy or overpowering.
It's one of those fragrances that just works. Not fussy, not sweet, just warm and quietly grounding. The kind of scent you light without thinking too hard about it, and it somehow always fits.
Designed to fit our refillable candle jars, this refill is a good match for anyone who leans towards something a bit more grown-up and earthy. Equally at home in winter as it is on a warm summer evening.
Place your candle on a flat, heat-resistant surface before lighting. For the first burn, allow the wax to melt all the way to the edges of the jar. This helps prevent tunnelling and gives you a more even burn each time.
Trim the wick to around 5 mm before every burn to keep the flame steady and reduce smoke. Light the candle and enjoy, allowing it to burn for no longer than 3–4 hours at a time.
When the candle has finished, allow the jar to cool fully before handling. Once empty, simply clean the jar and replace it with one of our refill inserts to enjoy your candle again.
Each candle refill is designed to fit jars with a diameter between 6.6 cm and 7.8 cm, making it easy to reuse your existing glassware while keeping your candle looking and performing its best.
Always burn candles within sight and keep them away from drafts, children and pets. Place on a stable, heat-resistant surface and never move a candle while it is lit or while the wax is hot.
Do not burn your candle for more than 3–4 hours at a time and stop use when around 10 mm of wax remains. Keep the wick trimmed to 5 mm and avoid lighting if the wick becomes damaged or off-centre.
Never leave a burning candle unattended and always extinguish the flame before leaving the room or going to sleep.
